Position Overview

We are looking for an ambitious, hungry and proactive new business hunter with a desire to succeed and meet targets. You will have experience of selling software testing solutions and services across a variety of verticals, with a demonstrable track record within the private and public sector. Dealing with high-level decision makers, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build a high level of rapport with prospects and customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 100% generation of new business, transitioning to account management.
  • Services include Testing as a Managed Services, Functional Testing, Non-functional testing, Test Automation and other solutions as a part of the services.
  • You may have to attend approx. 15-20 face to face new business meetings per month.
  • Constantly open to internal and client feedback with the ability to interpret and communicate effectively.
  • To ensure the complete sales cycle is maximised. This cycle can be anything from 2 months+ and you will be expected to pitch to pitch at all levels from Test managers up to CTO level so excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Forecasting and strategic planning of market to shape future deals and secure long term contracts.
  • Able to manage a project from first meeting to conclusion & documentation.


  • Previous extensive experience of selling similar services, solutions and products with broad knowledge of the market.
  • A proven track record of generating new business with demonstrable and consistent sales performance.
  • Thorough understanding of the testing & assurance services market in Nigeria and West Africa.
  • Credible, well organised, positive and proactive.
  • Consultative approach.
  • Target focus and ambitious.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication with an ability to build and sustain relationships with clients at a senior level.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Committed individual who thrives on a challenge.
  • Minimum of five years public sector sales background in a client-facing role.

To support the business requirements for the provision of system testing services. To support Business-related test activity, in terms of communications to and from the business test representatives and ensuring through the Test Manager that key test issues are managed or escalated as necessary.


• To undertake all system test related activities in support of the business requirements for the provision of new and updated systems.

• To undertake functional and integration testing, and liaison with third-party suppliers to ensure appropriate test coverage.

• To undertake Quality Assurance checks during third-party supplier and internal developments to ensure that only ‘fit-for-purpose’ code is delivered into test environments owned by the Testiver test team.

• To attend workshops comprising business and or technical representatives to cover test-dependent activities such as requirement verification and prioritisation, test scenario identification and general matters.

• To ensure that test scenarios and scripts are prepared in a structured way, prioritised to reflect business or technical priorities and are approved by appropriate stakeholders. Scope is to cover test cycle contents and regression packs.

• To create allocated test scripts, monitor test execution and ensure results are recorded.

• To co-ordinate re-testing of defects and issues either through ‘at desk’ re-tests by business test

representatives, or via walkthroughs with third-party providers.

• To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts, activity schedules, narrative and written reports, and visual progress charts.

• To liaise with and assist each line of business regarding the test planning, testing activity, and test results analysis.

• To take responsibility for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.

• To support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.

• To carry out other tasks as agreed with the Test Team Leader.
